Our highly qualified experts have experience in all aspects of fine arts and decorative arts, including furniture, ceramics, and jewelry. We have additional specialty in the appraisal of photography, ephemera and wine. Our appraisal reports are comprehensive, objective, and well-researched. The reports always include digital pictures, object descriptions, measurements, current condition, and a value for each item. Information about the artist's background, provenance, the relevant market and exhibition history may also be included. Comparables selected for determining values are kept in the client's work file and can be provided upon request.
APPRAISAL PROCESS AND FEES
The appraisal process begins with a site visit to physically examine the objects if possible. During this site visit, a complete inventory listing of the objects is developed, and photographs are taken. Upon completion of the inventory process, we engage in extensive research to value each object and ultimately complete the appraisal report. Our appraisal fees are based on the scope of work and are a function of time and assignment complexity. Our billing methodologies may include an hourly rate, a project flat fee, or a hybrid of both.
