George Velasco

George Velasco was born, raised and still resides in Stamford, CT with his wife and children. He was exposed to photography at a young age by his father who was a photographer. But Velasco’s love and passion for photography fully developed upon the moment his first son was born. His work slowly portrayed less traditional images such as weddings and portraits and more nighttime photography of landscapes in the United States as well as internationally.

 

Velasco was the only American artist selected to exhibit at the Auditorio Nacional in Mexico City for the 2007 biennial photojournalism and culture exhibition.
