Wilson has been painting throughout his life, especially since retiring from law enforcement. He is an award-winning artist, with paintings in galleries locally and in several states. He is currently the first and only Black "racing" artist to create and sell art at any major racetrack in the United States. He is also currently one of a precious few Black artists who paints en plein air professionally in the United States.
