Christa Forrest

Christa Forrest truly enjoys painting the world’s landscape. Using color as a map and foundation she explores unique compositions in nature’s surroundings. Christa likes to showcase and emphasize natural colors as a way of capturing the mood and feeling of a place, rather than depicting a completely realistic scene.  

After a twenty year career in finance, Christa decided to walk away and pursue her passion as an artist, teacher and mentor.  Mostly self-taught, she has studied at the Art Student’s League, and the Grand Central Academy in New York City to further her understanding as an artist. She is a current member of the Connecticut Pastel Society. Her work has been seen in various exhibits throughout Connecticut and New York.  When not painting, Christa enjoys spending time with her husband, Jason, a yoga coach for professional athletes and her two children.
