Harlem Museum Trips for Stamford Public Schools
Another wonderful project where the Picture That Team had an opportunity to promote awareness of culture to the Stamford Public Schools students!
Picture That, in cooperation with The Palace Stamford Center for the Arts, coordinated an inaugural event: the Harlem NYC Museum Field Trip for Stamford Public School Art Students. On June 4, 47 middle and high school students, and 12 adults (teachers and chaperones – including Valerie Cooper) from the Stamford area boarded buses for a daylong outing.
Their visit to the Studio Museum in Harlem consisted of a guided tour of the facility and lunch catered by Sisters Caribbean Cuisine. A short walk through the lively streets of Harlem brought them to the Schomburg Center where they participated in a second guided tour.
